Gallery files are updated with lots of new photographs - a few more owls have found their way in, plus a Christmas Stocking made for a special little boy in December. In Customer Quilts there’s a close-up detail of some of the freehand quilting I completed on a lovely wall hanging made by Edna, freehand swirls on a bright and lively Linus Quilt, and a riot of freehand feathers on a faux log cabin. You’ll notice that “freehand” crops up once or twice there. I’ve been having a lovely time developing this area of quilting, which gives a similar overall effect to pantographs but which gives me much more scope for creativity! If you’d like this sort of quilting on your quilt, it is priced as for pantographs.

Welcome to my website - thank you for visiting. My name is Joanne Ridley and I live in Cheshire in the Northwest of England with my husband and son. As you’ve probably worked out from the name of my business, we live in a Vicarage, so no prizes for guessing what my husband does for a living! The house is a big old thing and looks quite grand, but it’s very cold in the winter! However, the best part about it is the size of the spare room - big enough to fit in a longarm quilting machine…. Not being one to miss an opportunity, in June 2007, I took delivery of a Nolting machine and I am looking forward to all the wonderful things I can create.

As you’ll see if you have a look around the website, I aim to offer lots of variety. Church banners? No problem. Need a cot quilt for a new arrival? Just contact me and we can work out a design which will be unique to your little one. A quilter yourself but you don’t like to quilt? Let me do that part for you.
